climes is the
English walnut tree which is growing at the home of Benjamin J.
Steinman,
2553 W. Liberty St. The nuts, which shed their own shucks, are
pictured
above in the "popping" stage. The tree was planted by the
Steinmans five
years ago and now has an eight-inch trunk. The third year the
tree bore a peck
of the nuts and the fourth . . . (copy cut off at this point).
